Spring Astro Events

Welcome to the season of renewal, rejuvenation, and blossoming beauty – Spring! As nature awakens from its winter slumber, the world transforms into a canvas painted with vibrant colors, melodious bird songs, and the sweet scent of blooming flowers. This spring, according to Vedic astrology, is marked by significant celestial movements and alignments that influence individual destinies and collective energies.

To kick things off, the New Moon on March 10th has opened up space that is requesting balance, integration and order. There is a request for collaboration and connection, innovation and thinking outside of the box. Planting plants, brainstorming on creative ideas, trying something new are excellent ways to honor the energy of the waxing moon phases.

If you are like me and have started feeling tension surface up in your relationships, it is because Venus joined Saturn in Aquarius on March 6th, where she will remain until the end of the month. Luckily, Venus’ presence here will ease the explosive dynamic of Saturn and Mars combo, with Mars entering Aquarius on March 15th, where he will remain until April 23d! Anger and irritation at the slow pace of things is likely to surface, so it is important to recalibrate, find balance and peace knowing that everything will happen in its due time. Trust the process. For now, slow and steady wins the race, not the fast and furious.

Mercury continues its debilitated journey through Pisces until March 25, where he is conjunct Rahu – the planet of shadows and illusion. This can be showing up in faulty communications, filled with deception and misunderstanding in negotiations. Mind and money are vulnerable to Rahu’s shadow, so strengthening our inner core and stability is paramount, if we don’t want to get lost in the darkness. Meditation, spending time in nature and working to strengthen the mind will help maintain the very much needed mental clarity and focus.

Right after that, starting April 1st and until April 25th, Mercury will begin its retrograde movement, so don’t expect alignment in communications and technologies until it runs this course.

On March 14th, the Sun enters Pisces for the month, joining Rahu and debilitated Mercury, shining new light on the areas of the mental fogginess and the already slow and complicated negotiation processes. Later on, in April and May, as the Sun journeys through Aries and Taurus, it will ignite ambition and stability. But until April 13th the shadow of Rahu is vast and can dim even the Sun itself, seeding doubts of self-worth and adding a sense of insecurity. Mental turmoil will only intensify, if one lets it. Right now is the time to ‘doubt the doubt’ and not give into the illusion. Stick to your inner truth, do the work, and whatever you do – do not avoid facing your fear and grief.

Especially since the next Full Moon will open up the corridor of eclipses, a two week portal that usually happens twice a year. Corridors of eclipses, while tense, bring out our deeply rooted unconscious patterns, allowing us to revisit and correct them, provided that we take the time to notice them. Alternatively, it will just seem like a really tough time, especially if we don’t perceive everything that will unfold with gratitude and understanding that all these experiences are there for us to learn and grow from.

Corridor of eclipses (March 22 – April 11) is not a good time to start new projects, endeavors or relationships, but rather revisit everything that we already have going on and stick to our normal routines and tasks. All important and life-altering decisions should wait until after the Solar eclipse closes this portal of shadows on April 8th, allowing a few days for the ‘aftershock.’ It is not recommended to make any drastic changes as it pertains to looks, relationships, career, etc. But it is a GREAT time for self-exploration, transformation, facing our fears, working through our grief, and acknowledging our shadows.

Emotions tend to be high during the corridor of eclipses, so your good judgement is needed more than ever. Try to avoid conflicts and try to address them with patience and understanding if and when they do arise. Lastly, on this topic, it is not recommended to view eclipses directly, contrary to popular belief. Vedic wisdom suggests that during the time of the actual eclipse the line between the light and dark is at its thinnest and by spending time outside we can absorb the shadows, which is not something we would want. If you must be outside during that time, remember to wear head covering and avoid looking directly at the eclipses.

To brighten things up a bit, let us take a look at the vernal equinox on Tuesday, March 19th. On this day, the Sun is exactly above the Equator and day and night are of equal length. March 19-25 is an excellent time to cleanse and renew, asking for ancestral support and wisdom in achieving our dreams and desires, noticing the rebirth in nature and dedicating a bit of time spent in silence and intense presence with our bodies and souls. Eating light foods, meditation, goal setting and performing our favorite rituals will further support this process of renewal. Personally I am planning to be putting together my new vision board for the year.

Last but not least, the transition of Jupiter into Taurus on May 1st brings about expansion in finances, luxury and comfort, as well as wisdom, mentorship and spirituality. But it is such an important transit, which occurs once a year, that I am planning to write a separate post on it as it nears. Stay tuned!

Overall, this spring promises a dynamic interplay of planetary influences, urging us to align our intentions with the cosmic currents for optimal growth and fulfillment. And for those of you, who are ready to take an active role in your healing process and embark on a journey of self-discovery and transformation, I invite you to my flagship course “Astro Woman” (March 18th – April 17th). From astro wisdom, to mindfulness meditations and energy healing modalities, you’ll learn practical skills to cultivate balance, resilience, and vitality in your life, regardless of the celestial transits in the sky.
